Sixty one year old Dr. Avinash Supe  dean of KEM Hospital, has won the Dr. B.C. Roy Award instituted by the Medical Council of India. The gastroenterologist has bagged the award in the ‘eminent medical teacher’ category. Dr. Supe said, “This is a recognition for our hard work as doctors.”

He has been practising for the past 35 years and teaching medical students for almost 33 years. He has been attached with the G.S. Medical College for the past 45 years. The President will confer the award on Dr. Supe. The date of the ceremony is yet to be announced.
