A baby with four legs and two male sex organs born at Dhadeasugure Primary Health Centre (PHC) on January 21.
Lalitamma, 23, a resident of Puladinni village in Raichur, gave birth to a baby.
On Tuesday, the newborn was admitted to Narayana Health hospital, Bengaluru, which highlighted his medical condition and the need for help.
Dr Virupaksha T said the infant was born at 4.23am on Saturday. Having been on duty at the time of the child’s birth, he made all the necessary arrangements to facilitate the baby’s transfer to VIMS. “It was a normal delivery,” Dr Virupaksha said.
Lalitamma had said she was willing to raise her newborn just the way he was and because they were poor, they couldn’t afford expensive treatment. The baby had been admitted to the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Ballari from where he was transferred to Narayana Health on Tuesday.
