Getting no response from the Government over the demand of being paid all benefits recommended by the 7th pay commission, the All India Government Nurses Federation has warned of halting the work in every public hospitals across the country from March 15 onwards.

The federation is already on relay hunger strike from Feb 12 till Feb 27. In a bid to make the clamor stronger, the nurses at all the Government hospitals of the country have decided to go on an mass casual leave on Feb 26.

G.K. Khurana, Secretary General of the federation has told HealthLive : “The Government does not understands straight talks, only once we nurses stop the work completely they will understand.”

The federation has also been demanding time from the health minister over the issue, but are not being given time.

The nurses have demanded increment in nursing, risk and night duty allowances as per the Seventh Pay Commission.
