Ministry of AYUSH had an agreement with WHO and a partnership with United States for research in AYUSH medicines for treatment of Cancer.
It is a step ahead to popularize AYUSH system of medicine across the world.
In the field of traditional medicine there were Mous have been signed with many countries for bilateral cooperation.
“In view of the suggestions received, the National Health Policy would be reviewed in the next six months to incorporate this aspect of propagation of AYUSH. India is also entering into a very important partnership with the United States for research in AYUSH for treatment of cancer,” AYUSH minister Shripad Yesso Naik said

Minister Naik was at the inauguration ceremony of the National Arogya Fair at Auto Cluster Development and Research Institute (ACDRI), PCMC, Chinchwad in Pune.

By organizing such arogya fairs we can create awareness among the people about importance of AYUSH system.
In AYUSH there is huge availability of herbs and medicinal plants used to prevention and treatment of common ailments said Minister Naik.
The fair is showcasing sectors like Ayurveda, Sidha, Naturopathy, Yoga, Unani, Homeopathy and other recognized traditional healthcare systems.

The other highlights of the fair are Institutions, companies associated with these areas of health care including insurance, health tourism, lab equipment and machinery, research institutes, hospitals, naturopathy centres.
Apart from above all, to focus on research, education and development of such products there is special participation of Central Research Councils and National Institute in the AYUSH Systems of Medicine along with the National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB), Indian Medicines Pharmaceutical Corporations Limited (IMPCL).
