In Rajasthan, more than 80, 000 Swasthy Mitras were trained says Health Minister Dr.Raghu Sharma. As per him special attention is being given to all the children’s hospitals in the State expecting the third wave of corona. Besides increasing the beds in NICU, PICU, SNCU units functioning in these children’s hospitals, a centralised oxygen pipeline is also being arranged. He said that more than 80,000 Swasthya Mitras from 42,000 revenue villages have been imparted training to strengthen the health services in the State. These Swathya Mitras will make the general public aware towards the medical services.
Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that the revenue of the State Government has declined in the corona period, but the State Government has left no stone unturned to strengthen the infrastructure of medical facilities even in adverse situations. He said that preparations are being made at an extensive level to fight the expected third wave of corona and other diseases from capital Jaipur to remote villages in the State.
Dr Sharma said this while inaugurating the newly built Comprehensive Stroke Care Centre (Stroke ICU) in the Neurology Department of Sawai Man Singh Hospital on Wednesday. He said that patients related to neuro will be tested and treated with modern techniques in this 22-bedded ICU. Patients coming within 24 hours of acute ischemic stroke will be treated by admitting them in this ICU that has been built at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore. He said that patients coming within 4 hours will be treated with thrombosis treatment to dissolve the blood clot in the brain. Along with this, testing facilities through transcranial Doppler and carotid doppler will be made available to stroke patients.
State will become self-reliant in the field of oxygen
Dr Sharma said that modern facilities are being developed at 332 selected Community Health Centres (CHCs) in the State anticipating the third wave of the corona. In these CHCs, 3 to 5 beds will be made ICU. He said that around 400 oxygen plants with different capacities are being set up and around 50,000 oxygen concentrators are being arranged to overcome the shortage of oxygen in the State. These will ensure the availability of around 1,000 metric tonnes of oxygen.
Will make the Chief Minister’s dream come true
Dr Sharma said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot started the Healthy Rajasthan (Nirogi Rajasthan) campaign to make Rajasthan healthy. Constant efforts are being made to fulfill this. Efforts are being made to benefit all people with facilities such as health insurance for each person, free medical and diagnosis scheme. He said that to remain healthy, it is necessary for each person to be aware of his/her health and should get regular health check-ups done.
