Delhi government will soon launch health insurance scheme for the people of Delhi as its part of the CM Kejriwal government plans to upgrade the health sector in the state.
Satyendar Jain, Health Minister said “we are in talk with some of health insurance companies. The scheme of health insurance will be available at a nominal premium.

People will have to pay low premium of about 3,000 to 4,000 for a year to be covered under this plan. The plan will cover medical expenses from Rs.1 lakh to Rs.4lakh as told by the Minister.
Those who avail the health insurance scheme and suffering from critical illness can get medical treatment at government hospitals Jain added.

On the matter of increasing the beds in hospital Minister Jain said they will soon add 10,000 new beds to the government hospitals. By 2017 we decided to increase that to 20,000 beds in the hospitals minister said
