Federation of Resident Doctor’s Association (FORDA), the largest and oldest association of resident doctors working across country decided to suspension of nationwide elective services halt and resumption of duties on Thursday.

Intervention of Supreme Court:

The decision was taken after the recent developments and intervention by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In a statement FORDA said we extend our gratitude to Supreme Court for taking cognizance of RG Kar case and acceptance of all our prayers and for their meticulous examination and redressal of the issue plaguing the resident doctors community. Monitoring & review of situation:

On the RG Kar medical issue, they said we will closely monitoring the situation regarding the demands of our colleagues at RG Kar medical college and review of our position  in two week and continue to fight through our legal team of Advt.Satyam Singh & Advt.Sanjeev Gupta. We are also grateful to our legal team that we have voice within the task force. FORDA was at forefront of this movement by advocating for Justice For Abhaya.

Suspension of Strike not Termination:

The association also clears that the strike has been suspended not terminated. We hopeful the National Task Force will address our all concerns. So, we have requested all our RDAs across India to temporary suspend the elective services strike and resume their duties from Friday 23rd August.

FORDA always committed towards the patientcare and for society’s health, simultaneously we remain steadfast for the safety , rights and welfare of resident doctors across the nation. Being a largest association of doctors it is our responsibility to ensure their betterment.
