In national capital Delhi five new hot spots sealed as there is rise shown in positive cases coronavirus in NCT Delhi on Friday.
The state health department said 183 confirmed cases were recorded today, taking the total confirmed cases in Delhi over 900. In order to contain the number of cases, authorities in Delhi have now sealed 30 hotspots.
While 20 initial hotspots were identified by the state government initially, a few areas like Sadar Bazar zone and Bengali Market were added later, taking the total number of high-risk areas to 30.
Authorities have added Gali no. 18 to 22 of Zakir Nagar and nearby area of Abu Bakar Masjid as buffer zone; E Pocket of GTB Enclave; some blocks in old Seemapuri area and Chandni Mahal and Nabi Karim in Central district.
The area in and around G-174, Capital Greens, DLF in Motinagar has also been declared as a hotspot.

The Delhi government earlier made it clear that it will have to follow stricter lockdown measures in Covid-19 hotspots to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
Delhi Chief Minister had announced Operation Shield to fight Covid-19 in the national capital.
SHIELD stands for sealing, home quarantine, isolation and tracing, essential supply, local sanitation and door-to-door checks. This will be implemented across all hotspots or containment zones.
While cases are expected to rise in India as the frequency of testing increase, all states are trying their best to limit the number of cases by strictly monitoring Covid-19 hotspots.
