To achieve the goal to make the state of Rajasthan a TB free state. The state government is going to conduct Corporate Consultation on 24th June, 2022 under National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).
National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) is working towards India’s commitment to End TB by 2025. joint efforts of all the sectors and Ministries are highly needed to achieve TB Free Rajasthan goal. Considering the same, intersectoral engagement has been seen as one of the important strategies for the TB Elimination program in India.
In order to strengthen the national response against TB, collaboration with major corporates, business associations, private industries, public sector undertakings are required for a sustainable response. Corporates and industries are expected to adopt “Corporate TB Pledge” to collaborate under NTEP.
Considering, it is important Health Department is very keen and looking forward to this consultation which is in collaboration with the Industries Department and partner organization ‘The Union’ at Hotel Hilton, 22-Godam, Jaipur during 10 am to 1 pm. About 100 corporates, PSUs and business associations based in Rajasthan are expected to attend the event.
Objectives of the proposed corporate consultation will be to sensitize corporates on TB and its socio-economic aspects and mobilize corporates to work towards TB elimination.
Mrs. Veenu Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Dept., Dr. Prithvi, Secretary of Health Dept and Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, Mission Director, National Health Mission will be the main guests in the event.
