Considering the festivity season of Deepawali an awareness programme was organised at capital’s largest hospital Safdarjung by Burns and Plastic surgery department. The objective behind the event was to sensitise the public to prevent burns due to fire crackers injuries on the occasion of Diwali.
In the series of programme a street play by the nursing officers was played during the programme. Dr Sujata Sarabahi Prof & Consultant through her presentation mentioned to promote ” Say No to Crackers to make Diwali Safe” in the presence of Dr B L Sherwal MS,all Additional Medical Superintendents, Dr Shalabh HOD,ONS, nursing officers and other staff. Dr B.L. Sherwal Medical Superintendent encouraged everyone to celebrate green diwali following traditional rituals and customs at home with all loved ones. He mentioned how negligence and inattention causes accidents during fire crackers. People should take care precautionary measures. Dr Shalabh while wishing everyone diwali also highlighted about fire injuries and their treatment done by department at the hospital.
