New Delhi, February2, For the benefit and assistance of people Delhi government is come-up with a new helpline service which helps them in availability of medicines that they are unable to acquire from government hospitals. Apart from this helpline number an app was also launched on which people can upload photographs of prescription.
8745051111 is the number on which people can send SMS and can also download the app from Google play store.

This facility will take around six to twenty four hours. The moment message receive the CPA will contact them to inform when the medicine will be available at the hospital said Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
There was a rule made by the government regarding the prescription of medicine for the doctors. While prescribe they have to write names, sign and stamp every prescription from 1st of February.
There will be disciplinary action will be taken who don’t follow this rule.

Further Jain added, the upgraded Essential Drug List now has around 790 medicines. New EDL will be divided into four categories. Category A has 100 medicines prescribed to 80% of the patients,B has 150 medicines prescribed to 15% of patients and category C and D having more than 500 medicines which prescribed to only 5% of the patients.
