Resident Doctors Association of AIIMS conducted ‘RDACON’ an annual academic conclave on Thursday.
Doctor’s play vital role in shaping society: The program presided by Hon’ble Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium Delhi AIIMS. While delivering his keynote address, he said that the patients coming to AIIMS have a lot of expectations from the doctors. The doctors here are very serious towards the patients. He emphasized the essential collaboration between the medical and legal professions, underlining their complementary roles in society. The Chief Justice also spoke on the rights of the LGBTQ community, sharing personal anecdotes and emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in healthcare. He recounted his interactions with doctors from various departments at AIIMS, further emphasizing the crucial role that medical professionals play in shaping a more equitable society.
Dedication needed in both fields: Either it is legal profession or medical profession, dedication is needed in both the fields. Further he added doctors should never succumb to any greed, it is the responsibility of the doctor to save the patients. If a doctor comes under greed and pressure, he cannot save the patients. The doctors of AIIMS do good work and the patients coming to AIIMS have high expectations from the doctors. The Chief Justice said that there is no better doctor than AIIMS, when a patient has a serious illness, the doctor has to take a difficult decision to treat him. He first came to AIIMS to get his family treated. It feels good to visit AIIMS and today it’s a pleasure visiting here as a speaker.
RDACON-A enlightening experience :Highlighting about the event Dr.Vinay Pandey, President RDA Aiims said our programme brought together a remarkable gathering of professionals in health care, health technology and artificial intelligence. This prestigious event, chaired by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, proved to be an enlightening and thought-provoking experience for all attendees and residents.
On this occasion, AIIMS Director Dr. Srinivas, Dr. Vinay, Dr. Reema and hundreds of resident doctors, nursing staff, faculty members and others were present.
