AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) gave explanation against the notices issued to them.
The AIIMS administration on Wednesday issued notices to resident doctors, asking them why their services should not be terminated for participating in a protest, which almost disrupted an event attended by two Union ministers on Tuesday. The AIIMS management has asked the doctors to submit explanation regarding this matter.
The explanation clarifies that resident doctors and AIIMS students only wanted to meet Hon’ble ministers to submit a memorandum of concern issue, but the administration did not allowed. “We were protesting peacefully but the security guards tried to remove us from the lobby which led to a minor scuffle between the resident doctors and security guards,” said, Dr.Vijay Gurjar, President, AIIMS RDA.
It is misconception that we are indulged in illegal activities Gurjar added.

Further Dr Vijay Gurjar said “ We would like to focus on our duties as a student rather than indulge in misconceptions as our Hon’ble PM has called upon youth of the country as in ‘Let us join the mass movement towards Surajya, realize the hopes and aspirations of the people and take India to greater heights?

By quoting Prime Ministers saying in “Mann ki Baat” about the duties of citizen, the doctors said that we are inspired by our PM Modi ji and proud to be a student of AIIMS.

Earlier the protest by the Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) against signing of a MoU between AIIMS and National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC) to sell 10% of the institutional land for commercial use for building over 3,000 flats for AIIMS staff in Ansari Nagar, West Campus.
