A construction site behind the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi has been reported a mud slide on Wednesday around 12.30pm.
Three construction workers suffered serious injuries and two construction workers died in the incident. The injured have been admitted into Safdarjung Hospital initially from where they have been shifted to JPN Trauma Center. The soil was dug out during the construction of new buildings as part of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) expansion plan.

The condition of all the three workers is stable, and after various tests has been admitted to the centre for observation. Director AIIMS Prof M.C.Misra has visited the site along with senior officials and met the officials of Delhi Police, NDRF, Delhi Fire Service, Engineers and workers on site.
The contractual firm M/s Ahluwalia Construction Company has indicated that all workers are insured and claims would be settled expeditiously.
The Chairman, HSCC Shri Gyanesh Pandey which is the Project Management Company has visited the site and taken stock of the situation.
“The construction work was being carried out by a private construction company. We have kept everything ready at our trauma centre in case the injured are brought to the AIIMS,” institute spokesman Amit Gupta. AIIMS would be conducting an internal enquiry into the incident.
