After long discussions and meetings in the late evening with all RDA groups across India Federation of Resident doctors (FORDA) decides to continue the protest on Tuesday.

Earlier in the afternoon, there was a meeting called by, the Union Health Minister Dr.Mansukh Mandaviya where he had asked the protesting doctors to call off their strike. He expressed regret for “any misbehaviour on the part of the police” during the protests on Monday.

Under the umbrella of the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association resident doctors across Delhi started their protests for the delay in new admissions to medical colleges has increased workload in hospitals. Over the last one month from 29th November they are protesting and also hold for a week till 16th December, again they resumed the strike and continues till date. Doctors have intensified their protests saying that further delay in Neet PG Counselling could lead to an acute situation amid the rise in coronavirus cases in the country.

According to the media statement through a release, the Federation says, the agitation continues till our demands are met. We all stand united in this fight for Justice!

They have demanded an apology in writing from the Delhi Police after the brutal incident of violence on them, and also asked to take back the FIR filed by the police on protesting doctors.

On the other hand in India the tally of Omicron cases raising day by day. Today Delhi government announced a new set of guidelines considering the threat, in between the long protest of doctors will continue and patients will suffer for getting treatment.
