During hearing today in Apollo Hospital Free Beds to Poor case Justice Madan B. Lokur of Supreme Court told Apollo Hospital & Delhi Govt “You are fighting and only poor are suffering. Why don’t you resolve the issue”. Advocate Ashok Agarwal appearing for PIL petitioner told the Court that 30 years of lease period would expire without implementation of the condition of free treatment to poor. Advocate Beena Bhasin appearing for the Apollo Hospital offered to provide 10% free beds with medicines and consumables instead of 33% free beds for poor. The Court while adjourning the matter for 4 weeks asked the parties to sit and resolve the matter.
