Once again Sushma Swaraj , Union Minister for External Affairs proved that her helping hand on Twitter is for everyone from old to newborn. She is known for reaching out to Indians stranded across the world through social media, this time offered to help a three-day-old newborn, from Bhopal.
Om Sharma, the three-day old boy suffered from a heart disease and needed urgent heart treatment and no doctor helped at that point.
One of his maternal uncle tweeted and urge for help on twitter by tagging PM, J.P,Nadda. Minister Swaraj responded to the appeal for help on the micro-blogging website.
“We contacted the family and got the medical reports through my Bhopal office. Dr.Balram Airan Head Cardiac surgery AIIMS advises an early surgery. We can organise the baby’s surgery in AIIMS Delhi. The family has to decide (sic),” the External Affairs Minister tweeted.

Both Swaraj and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan helped have Om flown from Bhopal to New Delhi.
Parents of Om Devesh Sharma and Vandana Sharma who lives in Bhopal a thanking Minister Swaraj for her prompt response and helped them in need. We also thank CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for taking immediate action and provide all the facilities to reach Delhi and entire government machinery through which the treatment at AIIMS made possible Sharma added.
