Let’s Save our Delhi : India Eye IHRO held a protest at Jantar Mantar against the menace of pollution.

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) which is a by-product of explosives has increased to 123 μg/m3 on Sunday, October 30th, 2016. With increasing NO2 concentration, the risk of lung cancer also appears to increase as per the report. That means every second individual in the city will have a risk to catch lung cancer.

The city’s scenario changes post Diwali every year when lots of smoke, fumes, and pollutant particles are added to the atmosphere and as a result, Delhi is gradually on the verge to become a death chamber and in coming future it will have to take the total responsibility for creating a mass genocide where numerous people including innocent kids will be killed only because of the hazardous effects of air pollution.

”Delhi government to form environment police force to combat pollution of the capital” – Rakesh Sharma

Rakesh, MD, India Eye IHRO told Healthlive “ we are compelled to knock door of public to awaken them to shake the Government to take sustainable actions and not wake up every time after the game is up. Is there a provision of ‘medical emergency’ and closure of all schools, offices and market to stop outdoor activities? We need more citizenry awareness to question our right to life from the government he added.

Further Mr.Rakesh said, considering this alarming situation, India Eye IHRO held a protest at Jantar Mantar against the menace of pollution and mobilised larger number of people in Delhi for creating awareness to take steps to control air pollution.
