Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan announced that state government will bear entire expenditure of the treatment of the children suffering from heart ailments, lifting the existing Rs 2 lakh cap on financial assistance in such cases.
“We are going to bear the entire expenditure of treating the children suffering from heart ailments. We are lifting Rs 2 lakh financial assistance cap for treatment of a child with cardiac problems,” Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said while launching ‘Bal Hriday Abhiyan’ here today.
The state government will identify the children suffering from cardiac ailments under this campaign.
Besides, Chouhan said, all possible help would be given for the treatment of kids with diabetes and thalassemia.
Medanta Group’s Dr Naresh Trehan was also present on this occasion.
Under the campaign, 373 children would be provided treatment by the government in Indore district alone.
