The team of doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences have save the life of 32 year old man by removing 8 feet rod from his body without any damages to other organs.
Manjeet Tarki, resident of West Bengal, currently lives in Taimoor nagar ,Delhi who had fallen on it at an under-construction building near Taimoor Nagar Gurudwara.
According to Dr.Amit Gupta, Spokesperson at AIIMS the incident happened on Friday , the patient has fell down from adjoining roof of the neighboring building and around 3 inches wide and 8 feet long iron rod had pierced his torso.
“As the man fell on the rod, he stayed pinned down in the same position till the morning. After the guard discovered him, he called the police who took help of CATS ambulance.
With the help of police the iron rod was cut and patient brought to JPNATC, AIIMS with the iron rod still across his torso said Dr.Gupta
The team of Trauma surgeons at AIIMS led by Dr.Amit Gupta and Madhur Uniyal and the anesthetists led by Dr.Babta and Dr.Gyanendra operated the patient.
The rod was successfully taken out from patents body and all the while delicately saving all his vital organs as Dr.Gupta said.
