External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj was admitted on Monday to the country’s leading All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi after she complained of severe chest congestion and with features of pneumonia.
According to official statement by AIIMS spokeperson Dr.Amit there is improvement is seen in the health of Uniom Minister Swaraj.
Her treatment is being supervised by a team of senior specialists. She continues to show rapid improvement and is likely to be discharged soon.
The condition of the minister is stable and a medical board has been formed to treat her.
“A medical board has been constituted to the combined treatment strategy for the minister suffering from fever, chest congestion with features of pneumonia,” a statement issued by AIIMS said.
The team of specialists is looking after the minister whose condition is stable, it said. Earlier on Monday 64-year-old Swaraj was admitted to the AIIMS in a old private ward under Pulmonary Medicine Department around 5pm on Monday.
Later Minister Swaraj shifted to the Cardio-Neuro Centre.
