The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) today claimed that a health centre run by it has become the first urban health centre in the country to get NABH accreditation.

“RMC’s health centre located at Nana Mauva area has become nation’s first urban health centre to get NABH certificate,” an RMC statement said.

“The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers has suggested few minor changes which RMC did without much expense. The RMC just had to install few equipment, which are required meet the NABH standard and give special training to its staff members,” it said.

“Till now, nine government hospitals, two community health centres and seven primary health centres in the country have NABH certification,” Vijay Pandya, RMC chief health officer said
