A reporter from Washington Post came to India, and he was so impressed, he wrote an article “Can America learn from Delhi’s Mohalla clinics?” said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during the “Talk to AK” in New Delhi.
CM highlighting the importance of health, at his “Talk to AK” interaction said that his government is focusing on “mohalla clinics” to ensure access to healthcare.
Kejriwal said, “We are doing everything to make health services accessible to all, with focus on quality. Access to quality health services should be a fundamental right – we will revolutionize health services,” he said.
The situation in government hospitals is saddening, so we began Mohalla clinics. 100 Mohalla clinics are already functioning, at the next level we will have 1000 mohalla clinics by end of year,” Kejriwal said, adding that this model of access to healthcare has been internationally acclaimed. “A reporter from Washington Post came to India, and he was so impressed, he wrote an article “Can America learn from Delhi’s Mohalla clinics?” Kejriwal said.
“We have also introduced polyclinics for more serious illnesses, the middle class are also coming here,” he added.
