The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will soon add a new feature to its mobile application, NDMC 311, which will enable people to fix an appointment online at hospitals and other medical care centers under its jurisdiction.
Senior officials claimed that in the first phase, appointment for out-patient department at two hospitals of NDMC will be upgraded and later online registration system will be added for other departments.
“People can download NDMC 311 and register for an appointment using their Aadhaar card number. After the registration process is complete, an alert will be generated, which they can use as a receipt to show at the hospital,” said a senior official of Public Health Department (PHD), NDMC.
There are two major hospitals under NDMC – Charak Palika hospital and Palika Maternity hospital, one dental, 11 each ayurvedic, homeopathic and allopathic health care centers and one polyclinic.
The council has also initiated counselling for HIV-infected patients at their 150-bedded Charak hospital and officials from PHD claimed that soon NDMC will launch HIV control programme.
The online registration system for making an appointment through the mobile application NDMC 311 will be enabled for public at all these centres.
